Butter Pecan Popcorn

It’s time for one of your favorite summertime flavors!  Try this delicious Butter Pecan Popcorn at your next Family BBQ or outdoor movie night!  Your taste buds will thank you. 🙂 


Ingredients


–  6 cups popped popcorn

–  1 stick butter

–  1 cup brown sugar

–  1 tablespoon butter extract

–  1/4 cup light corn syrup

–  1 tablespoon baking soda

–  1 cup chopped pecans


Preparation


–  Prepare popcorn

–  In a large pot over medium heat, melt butter

–  Add sugar, butter extract and corn syrup

–  Allow to boil for 5 minutes

–  Add baking soda, mixture will expand

–  In a large bowl, pour caramel mixture over popcorn (be careful, it will be hot!)

–  Chop pecans into bite size pieces and mix into popcorn

–  Stir until everything is evenly coated and incorporated

–  Spread on a lined baking sheet and allow to cool

–  Enjoy!

You forgot to add the baking soda to the butter sugar corn syrup mix. It needs to be added at the end of the cooking. It will foam up so be careful. Other then the slight overlook of baking soda. Recipe was a huge hit. Good taste.
