Jelly Donut Popcorn

 

Who’s up for some Jelly Donut Popcorn and a game of dreidel? 🙂 Didn’t think we’d make a recipe based on Sufganiyah? Ohhhh, dear popcorn lovers. We haven’t even begun. 🙂 Shoot us a challenge below, you never know what our next ingenious flavor makers will come up with!

JELLY DONUT (SUFGANIYAH)  POPCORN RECIPE


Ingredients

  • 6 cups popcorn (we recommend popping with butter and sugar instead of salt)

  • 1/2 C sugar

  • 1/2 stick butter

  • 1/2 C corn syrup

  • 1/2 C strawberry jam

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • powdered sugar for topping

Directions

  • prepare popcorn in a pot, popper, etc using movie theater butter to pop

  • as the popcorn is popping, sprinkle with a little bit of sugar every 20-3o seconds

  • when popcorn is finished, set aside

  • melt butter over medium heat

  • stir in sugar, corn syrup and strawberry jam to make combine

  • when mixture comes to a boil, allow to sit for 2 minutes and then stir in baking soda

  • immediately stir popcorn into pot and coat

  • pour coated popcorn on parchment paper or other nonstick surface and allow to cool

  • powdered sugar topping to taste
