Maple Bacon Popcorn

What do you call maple popcorn with candied bacon?  AMAZING, seriously amazing!  Give it a try and find out for yourself how delicious this Maple Bacon Popcorn recipe really is. 


–  6 cups popped popcorn

–  8 slices of thick cut bacon

–  1/4 cup brown sugar (to sprinkle on bacon)

–  2 Tbsp maple syrup (to drizzle on bacon)

–  1 cup brown sugar

–  1/2 stick of butter

–  1/3 cup maple syrup

–  1 tsp baking soda


–  Prepare popcorn

–  Preheat over to 350°

–  Line baking sheet with parchment paper or a wire rack

–  Place bacon in a single layer

–  Sprinkle with brown sugar and drizzle on maple syrup

–  Bake bacon for 20 minutes or until fully cooked

–  Allow to cool and for sugar to set and harden before ripping into bite size pieces

–  In a medium saucepan, melt butter

–  Add remaining brown sugar and maple syrup

–  Allow mixture to boil for 5 minutes, add baking soda and stir (mixture will expand!)

–  Pour maple sugar mixture over popcorn and stir until evenly coated

–  Stir in bacon pieces (saving a few pieces to top off the bowl) until completely incorporated

–  Enjoy!

Bacon.Bacon.Bacon Popcorn Recipe

Everything is better with bacon, ESPECIALLY popcorn!  For all our bacon lovers out there, this delicious Triple Bacon Popcorn Recipe is for you.  Bacon popped, tossed with bacon and served up in a bacon bowl!  We weren’t kidding when we said triple bacon 😉 


–  1 cup popcorn kernels 

–  2 lbs bacon

*For hard core bacon LOVERS , add a cap full of our Bacon Cheddar seasoning 🙂 

Popcorn Preparation 

–  Preheat oven to 400° 

–  Line rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or place a wire cooling rack within baking sheet

–  Lay 1 lb of bacon strips flat, be sure to not overlap pieces 

–  Bake until crispy, 15 to 20 minutes 

–  Transfer bacon to paper towel to drain 

–  With remaining bacon grease, transfer 1/4 cup to large pot 

–  Over medium heat, add 3 popcorn kernels to bacon grease

–  Once the three kernels have popped, add remaining kernels and pop

–  Break bacon into small pieces and add into freshly popped popcorn

–  Set popcorn to the side

Bacon Basket Preparation 

–  Weave remaining 1 lb of bacon (link below to video we used) 

–  Place a large glass bowl open side down on a baking sheet and cover with foil 

–  Carefully transfer bacon weave so it drapes over the bowl (make sure not to leave open spaces between slices of bacon) 

–  Place in 400° oven for 25 – 30 minutes until bacon is crispy (time may vary, so keep an eye on it!)

–  Carefully remove bacon basket from bowl and place right side up

–  Fill bacon bowl with bacon popcorn and enjoy!
